Hey guys! If you are working a 9 to 5 and are yearning for a weekend adventure getaway, we hope this inspires you!
Day 1: Arrival and Exploration
We arrived in Las Vegas on a Friday evening around 7pm as we still had to work. Luckily, our flight was only about an hour long as we reside in California. (Your flight may take longer if you live further away.) After we arrived and got our car rental, we checked into our Airbnb.
It was dinner time so we ate at One Piece Cafe. If you are into anime, this cafe is based on the Japanese manga series in which Netflix have made a show out of it as well! The food was great and the food display was super cute. Las Vegas has a lot of other eateries so feel free to check out the other restaurants! We then ended the night hanging out at Fremont Street
Day 2: Death Valley National Park
At around 5 AM, we got ready and headed out to Death Valley. We arrived at 8AM. We did a bunch of site seeing and did a hike here. The whole day was spent here until 5 PM until it was time to head back to Las Vegas. After getting back to Las Vegas, we cleaned up ourselves and got ready for dinner. Kae was craving Chinese food and sushi so we actually went with a good ole dinner at a Chinese buffet that served a variety of things. We love to eat. What can you say? Haha. The strip was our last stop of the night.
Day 3: Day Trip to Red Rock Canyon and flight back home
We were ready to head out to Red Rock Canyon by 9:30AM and checked out of our Airbnb. During our time at Red Rock Canyon, we explored the visitor center and the various viewpoints. We also hiked here as well. After exploring Red Rock Canyon, we returned to the city and grabbed food at a local favorite, Shang Artisan Noodle. This is actually our third time here! They make hand pulled noodles here and it is definitely one of Kae’s favorite spots to eat every time we are in Las Vegas! They actually even expanded the restaurant from the last time we were here.
We still had some time to so we went off the strip to a casino and spent the hour that we had left. Eventually, it was time to head back to the airport so we left the casino, returned the car rental, and got to relax for a couple of hours at the airport before our flight took off back home.
Overall, we packed our trip with so many activities. We were able to explore the outdoors, take a couple of hikes, enjoy Fremont Street and the Las Vegas strip, and even all these amazing foods! What does your weekend getaway look like? Comment down below and let us know.
